Leather Care

At some point your leather goods will need caring for.

For the first 6-12 months the natural oils from your hands should provide enough nourishment and help to slightly darken and patina the leather on its own.

Different leathers are finished in different ways at the tannery and therefore it's hard to say when a leather care product is needed.

I personally recommend Gilboy's Leather Balsam which is a chemical free, all natural, water resistant treatment that preserves and enhances the natural look of leather. If your leather goods become or start to feel dry then, by all means, give it a light coat of the above following the instructions on the base of the tin.
