The Story

Welcome to WildFoot – a small, leather goods workshop set in the heart of Devon. 

I’m Matthew, the sole designer, and maker of WildFoot Leather. Initially just some wild ideas, ‘WildFoot’ is about stepping out in a new direction and transforming those ideas into reality. 

I began experimenting with leather work in my spare time and quickly realised that I had found a craft in which I wanted to pursue further.

Nature has always played an important part in my life and I’ve been fortunate enough to grow up alongside people who share my love of the outdoors. My main sources of inspiration come from the beautiful Devonshire landscapes that surround me, from wild open moors to deep valleys and dense forests.

My approach to each item I make is exactly the same as the last. To create a visually stunning item that is as close to perfection as It possibly can be, not compromising on practicality and a finished product that will last a very long time.

Leather has a fascinating way of telling a story and each item that is crafted is at the start of this journey.
